Quilling was big I was five. I remember bouncing impatiently by the table - whether at home, or at my grandmother's house, or in the attic of my aunty's farmhouse - as the most delicate strips of paper transformed into sprawling landscapes, exquisite flora, and majestic beasts. It was far beyond anything my stubby little fingers could ever hope to achieve, of course, but I was content to simply watch the magic unfold (or, I guess, fold) before my eager eyes.

I'd completely forgotten about the art of quilling until recently, when I stumbled across Yulia Brodskaya's work:
